Trevor Haywood

Chief Executive Officer

Trevor Haywood is the Chief Executive Officer of Haywood Hunt & Associates Inc., bringing more than three decades of experience across investigative, intelligence, enforcement, and operational environments.
 
His background encompasses complex corporate investigations, financial and white-collar crime, intelligence-led investigations, and executive leadership of major case files within the investigations and intelligence profession. He has directed sensitive matters involving significant financial, reputational, and organizational exposure and risk, providing strategic guidance founded on sound judgment, operational precision, and international investigative collaboration.
 
Trevor possesses extensive expertise in investigative interviewing, statement analysis, and information elicitation. His experience supports the effective collection, assessment, and evaluation of information in complex matters involving corporate risk, workplace concerns, regulatory issues, litigation support, and sensitive personal matters.
 
Trevor maintains an established international network of investigative and professional relationships across multiple jurisdictions, enabling coordinated support for complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations.
 
He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators (IAFCI), organizations recognized internationally for advancing professional standards in fraud examination and financial crime investigations.

JEFF FILLITER

Director, Complex Fraud & Financial Irregularities
Jeff brings over four decades of experience across law enforcement, financial institutions, and private investigative practice.
 
He served 23 years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, primarily within Commercial Crime units in Ontario, and later held responsibility for the International Investigative Desk at a major Canadian financial institution.
 
Jeff’s work focuses on complex fraud investigations, asset tracing and recovery, financial irregularities, and investigative support across both domestic and international environments. His experience includes mortgage and lending fraud, insolvency-related matters, corporate misconduct, insurance-related investigations, and large-scale financial investigations. He has extensive experience with Mareva Injunctions, Anton Piller Orders and Norwich Pharmacal Orders. 
 
Throughout his established career, he has collaborated closely with legal counsel, financial institutions, insurers, and law enforcement agencies globally, contributing to matters requiring coordination across jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
 
Jeff holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Studies and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), with membership in the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI). He has provided expert evidence in both civil and criminal proceedings internationally, including matters before courts in the United Kingdom.

DON PANCHUK

Senior Advisor, Financial Crimes & Regulatory Affairs
Don brings over three decades of experience across law enforcement, regulatory enforcement, and investigative advisory environments.
 
He served 31 years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, retiring as Superintendent in Charge of the Integrated Market Enforcement Team in the Greater Toronto Area. Prior to this, he led the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit and the Integrated Proceeds of Crime Unit, overseeing complex investigations involving financial crime and organized activity.
 
Following his law enforcement career, Don held senior roles within the Ontario Securities Commission and the Law Society of Ontario, contributing to matters involving regulatory compliance, professional conduct, and financial oversight.
 
Don’s experience includes complex financial investigations, regulatory matters, investigative strategy, risk assessment, and advisory support involving legal, financial, and governance considerations.
 
He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Intelligence Studies, is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Canadian Risk Manager (CRM), and has completed the Chief Compliance Officers Qualifying Examination through the Canadian Securities Institute.

MARK FENTON

Director, Investigative Intelligence & Due Diligence
Mark is a senior investigator with over 28 years of service with the Vancouver Police Department, including investigative and detective assignments across various operational units, including Street Crimes and the Technological Crimes Unit, where he served for 12 years.
 
His experience includes complex digital investigations, intelligence development, investigative research, organized and street-level crime investigations, and the analysis of large-scale data compromise events. He has contributed to matters involving significant financial data exposure and supported investigations connected to major breaches across North America.
 
Mark specializes in open-source intelligence (OSINT), investigative due diligence, technology-related investigations, and complex investigative research, providing analytical and investigative support in matters requiring advanced research capability and cross-jurisdictional coordination.
 
He has worked alongside municipal and national law enforcement agencies, including collaboration with international partners on investigations involving multiple jurisdictions.

GARY ASKIN

Senior Advisor, Fraud Risk, Intelligence & Strategic Investigations
Gary brings over four decades of experience across law enforcement, intelligence operations, corporate investigations, and enterprise fraud risk management.
 
He served 33 years with the Waterloo Regional Police Service, retiring as Superintendent of Strategic and Tactical Services. Throughout his policing career, Gary held senior leadership positions overseeing intelligence, organized crime, major investigations, professional standards, tactical operations, and specialized enforcement units. As Intelligence Staff Sergeant, he led intelligence teams supporting complex investigations involving organized crime, financial crime, public safety, and emerging risk threats.
 
Gary most recently served as Assistant Vice-President, Fraud and Risk Management at Sun Life Financial, where he provided strategic leadership to the organization’s national fraud risk management function. His responsibilities included fraud detection, prevention, investigative response, and enterprise fraud risk initiatives across one of Canada’s largest financial institutions.
 
His experience spans fraud risk management, investigative intelligence, complex investigations, organizational risk, regulatory matters, and strategic investigative leadership. He possesses extensive expertise in disability fraud, benefits fraud, insurance fraud, and complex fraud risk matters, having worked extensively with law enforcement agencies, corporate stakeholders, insurers, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies on investigations requiring coordination across multiple jurisdictions and risk environments.
 
Gary provides strategic advisory support in the areas of fraud risk, investigative intelligence, strategic investigations, organizational risk management, disability and benefits fraud, insurance fraud matters, and complex investigative challenges, supporting clients facing high-consequence matters across corporate, insurance, legal, and private-sector environments.

ANA MEDEIROS

Director, Administration
Ana Medeiros brings over 30 years of experience within the investigative industry, with extensive knowledge supporting investigative reporting, case coordination, administrative functions, and client-service support across a broad range of investigative matters.
 
She supports the firm’s administrative and coordination functions, including executive administration, scheduling, internal reporting, vendor coordination, payroll administration, and file management processes connected to ongoing investigative assignments.
 
Working closely with leadership and investigative personnel, Ana plays an important role in supporting organizational continuity, reporting processes, and day-to-day administrative coordination across the firm.
 
In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Ana is provincially licensed within the investigative industry, supporting continuity, handling protocols, and administrative oversight relating to investigative reporting, sensitive information, and ongoing investigative matters.

MARIA CRISPO

Director, Client Services & Engagement
Maria Crispo oversees client services and engagement functions across the firm, supporting client communications, intake coordination, onboarding procedures, scheduling, and ongoing client interaction throughout the course of investigative engagements.
 
Her professional background includes Criminology together with experience in investigative research, investigative coordination, client engagement, and the handling of sensitive matters requiring professionalism and discretion
 
Working closely with leadership, investigative personnel, and clients, Maria serves as an important point of coordination across the firm’s operational and client-service functions, helping ensure a professional, organized, and responsive experience throughout ongoing matters.
 
In addition to her client-service responsibilities, Maria is provincially licensed within the investigative industry, supporting continuity, handling procedures, and administrative coordination relating to investigative reporting, sensitive information, and ongoing investigative matters.

Christina Foss

Skip Trace & Investigative Research Specialist
Christina Foss is a provincially licensed investigator specializing in skip tracing, investigative research, and complex locate investigations. Drawing on more than a decade of specialized investigative experience, she supports legal professionals, corporations, insurers, financial institutions, government agencies, and private clients in locating individuals and developing critical investigative intelligence for complex matters.
 
Her expertise includes locating witnesses, debtors, beneficiaries, missing persons, and individuals connected to litigation, fraud, regulatory, and corporate investigative mandates. Through meticulous investigative research, intelligence gathering, and analytical problem-solving, Christina develops reliable location intelligence that supports legal proceedings, asset recovery efforts, corporate investigations, and other sensitive matters requiring accurate and timely information.
 
In addition to her investigative research responsibilities, Christina is provincially licensed within the investigative industry, supporting the firm’s commitment to professional investigative standards, evidentiary integrity, and confidential information handling. Through specialized skip tracing, investigative research, and lawful intelligence gathering, she assists in developing reliable investigative intelligence for legal proceedings, corporate investigations, asset recovery efforts, and other complex matters requiring accurate, timely, and defensible information.

Our Surveillance Operations & Investigative Support Team is comprised of experienced investigators and professionals with backgrounds in municipal police services, federal enforcement agencies, specialized investigative units, and corporate investigative environments. Working in support of our Senior Leadership Team, these professionals provide the operational expertise required to execute surveillance assignments and complex investigative mandates throughout Ontario and across Canada.
 
Many of our investigators developed their expertise within specialized investigative and intelligence units responsible for Complex Criminal Investigations, Organized Crime, Commercial Crime, Financial Crime, and other complex and high-profile investigative mandates where sound judgment, legal compliance, and evidentiary integrity were fundamental to every investigation. Investigative decisions often carried significant legal, operational, and public interest considerations. This experience continues to shape the disciplined, methodical, and intelligence-led approach that defines our investigative work.
 
Supporting our Senior Leadership Team, our operational investigators play a critical role in the successful execution of surveillance operations and investigative mandates.
